Our Services

There isnβt a difference between Podiatry and Chiropody.
The name switched from βChiropodyβ in the UK in the 1990βs to the more universally used name βPodiatryβ.
"Pod-": This comes from the Greek word "podos," which translates to "foot." This clearly identifies the focus of the field as being on the feet.
-
The reality is that most people forget how important their feet are until something goes wrong. It is advisable to see a Podiatrist with any foot related problems. Such as, ingrown nails, callus and corns and pain when walking.
It is especially important for people who have diabetes, immuno-suppressive disorders or poor circulation.
-
Consider what your needs might be then enquire with local foot health establishments to see if what can be offered will meet those needs. Seek recommendations from family and friends and read recent, published reviews to give confidence in your booking.
Ensure those who state to be a Podiatrist hold the necessary qualification (bachelorβs degree) and registration with the HCPC, the governing body.
